Moulin Rouge heads to Bow Mistress in peak form
10 January 2010

STAR mare Moulin Rouge will take wining form into the weight-for-age Bow Mistress Stakes following her impressive victory in the Winzenberg Trophy over 1200 metres at Tattersall's Park in Hobart today (Sunday).

Moulin Rouge (Brendon McCoull) was allowed to drift back from her wide draw and settled worse than midfield.

When McCoull called on her to extend from the 600m peg she travelled into the race with style and when she let down in the straight she raced past the talented Twenty Grand and went n to defeat that horse by over two lengths with Captain Chaos a close-up third.

The winner is prepared at Spreyton by Barry Campbell who was all smiles after the race.
