23 February 2010

Fun and Excitment of the Sale Ring
Great Value Yearlings

OWNING a champion racehorse is the dream of all owners but it is often considered beyond the means of most who venture to the capital city premier sales in other parts of the nation.

But the Tasmanian Magic Millions Yearling Sale can provide buyers with the opportunity to live the dream for an affordable price.

Of the 150+ lots being offered at the 2010 sale at the Inveresk sale yards in Launceston in February, the next future champion juvenile like Rustia, that sold for only $8000 at the 2006 sale but went on to win almost $250,000 in her first season, could be amongst them.

The success story of Rustia is not unique as proven by the performances of last season's Tasmanian horse of the year Stuyvesant that was knocked down at the 2003 sale for a modest $27,000 and went on to win almost $500,000 before his untimely death in a race in Melbourne.

There have been many other purchases from the Tasmanian sales that have given owners a taste of feature race glory and no doubt the 2010 draft on February 23 will again deliver.

The sale also offers the traditional ringside dining experience which gives purchasers the opportunity to buy in comfort and also rub shoulders with some of the major players of Australian racing.
